How fast can I book a driver?+
Median match time is 12 minutes in London same-day zones. Everywhere else, next-day capacity is guaranteed if booked by 18:00.
What's a 'bundle'?+
A bundle is a driver + a vehicle + cargo insurance combined into one live-priced booking with a single escrow payment.
Can I choose the same driver each week?+
Yes — 'Favourite' any driver post-booking and they'll see your recurring jobs before the open marketplace.
Do you dispatch on weekends?+
Yes — weekend bundles are available in all live cities, though volume is naturally lower on Sundays.
Escrow & payments
Where is my payment held?+
In a ring-fenced client account with our FCA-safeguarded payments partner. Funds don't touch DriveGet's balance sheet.
When does the driver get paid?+
The moment delivery is confirmed via geofence + customer sign-off. Auto-release happens 24h after delivery if no dispute is raised.
What if I cancel?+
Cancellations before dispatch are refunded in full within 2 working days. Cancellations after dispatch incur a mileage-and-time charge.
How do I get a VAT invoice?+
Every completed booking generates a VAT invoice under your business profile — downloadable as PDF or exported to Xero/QuickBooks.
Insurance & safety
Who underwrites cargo insurance?+
AXA Commercial. Basic £5k cover is included in every bundle; £10k / £15k / £25k tiers available at checkout.
What isn't covered?+
Cash, precious stones, live animals, hazmat and unpackaged loose goods are excluded from standard cover.
How are drivers verified?+
DVLA entitlement, penalty points, Enhanced DBS, right-to-work and £5m public liability insurance — all checked before profile goes live and re-checked monthly.
How are vehicles verified?+
MOT and tax pulled live from DVSA/DVLA APIs, refreshed daily. Any lapse auto-delists the vehicle from the marketplace.
Drivers
How much do drivers earn?+
Median driver earnings on DriveGet are £31k/yr. Top decile earn £48k+. Drivers keep 85% of the driver-rate line — no ghost markup.
When do drivers get paid?+
Weekly, every Friday for jobs delivered up to Wednesday midnight. Instant payout available for a small fee.
Can I use my own van?+
Yes — 'driver only' bookings mean customers hire your services and you arrive in your own vehicle, insured under your own policy.
Fleets & depots
How does a depot join?+
Onboarding takes 5–7 working days: verification, key locker install, MOT/tax check, listings live. £0 signup cost.
Who handles cleaning and maintenance?+
The depot. DriveGet triggers turnaround checks between bookings and can arrange third-party valet if needed.
What's the fleet fee?+
15% platform fee on vehicle rental line only. Fleets keep the full daily rate they set.
Business
Is there an API?+
Yes — REST API for booking, tracking and reconciliation, plus webhooks for milestone updates. Docs at api.driveget.uk.
Do you offer volume discounts?+
Yes — platform fee drops to 12% above £5k/month and 10% above £25k/month. Enterprise plans available.
Can I get SSO and audit logs?+
Enterprise plans include SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning and audit exports to your SIEM.
